Robert P. Mino, Vice President of Life Sciences for the Business Development Board
Robert Mino is the VP, Life Sciences, for the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County. He facilitates the creation of a vibrant life sciences industry in Palm Beach County, Florida. Robert’s formal training is as a pharmaceutical/medical device patent attorney, with a JD, MBA, MS (Medical Sciences) and Regulatory Affairs Certification. Prior to joining BDB, Robert was Associate General Counsel for Sancilio Pharmaceuticals Company, a specialty pharmaceutical company working on a treatment for sickle cell disease. Robert established his career through progressively elevated levels of responsibility in three Fortune 1000 life sciences tools companies before entering medical device and pharmaceuticals, serving in various roles including legal, business development leadership, general manager, sales, marketing, and commercialization. He has closed over $50M in deals, held responsibility for a $500M product line, prosecuted a number of pharmaceutical patents to issue, and was awarded Roche Diagnostics’ prestigious Entrepreneurial Leader award and Applied Biosystems’ President’s Club award. Robert is also an entrepreneur, having successfully exited two life sciences companies, one he co-founded.
