NEW INCUBATOR TO JOIN JUPITER’S BIOTECH HOTSPOT

December 18, 2019 – On Wednesday, Ray Graziotto, President and CEO of Seven Kings Holdings, Inc., announced that they have acquired the rights to create a life sciences incubator in the Institute for Healthy Living building in Jupiter, Florida.  Modeling after other successful incubators, the space will offer flexible lease terms and walking-distance access to Florida Atlantic University’s Jupiter Campus. The incubator will focus on enhancing efforts to grow indigenous companies, resulting in long-term, sustainable benefits such as diversifying and growing the overall economy, thereby spinning out companies that will create high-paying jobs.  Seeking advice on how best to support the incubator, the BDB hosted a meeting between Mr. Graziotto and the BDB’s Life Science Advisory Council.

December 17, 2019 – West Palm Beach, FL – The Business Development Board of Palm Beach County (BDB) is pleased to announce that Precision Esthetics is expanding its headquarters and technology division in the City of West Palm Beach. The company recently purchased an 8,000 square foot building at 4912 South Dixie Highway. The seller was represented by BDB member Constance Thomas, Senior Director at Tower Commercial Real Estate. The company had outgrown its former facility, also in West Palm Beach, and will now have space for 30 new positions. This year, Precision celebrated 30 years of being in business. The company has a reputation as an industry leader among full service boutique dental laboratories that provide high quality Dental Lab Service to approximately 400 dentists.

STUDY EXAMINES FISH CONSUMPTION AND MERCURY EXPOSURE IN PREGNANT WOMEN

Mercury contamination of the marine environment is a global public health concern. Human exposure occurs primarily by eating seafood, especially large predatory fish such as swordfish and albacore tuna. Those most vulnerable – pregnant women: mercury exposure during pregnancy has been associated with cognitive impairment, including memory, attention, fine motor skills, and other markers of delayed neurodevelopment, although results are conflicting.

Nursing Pinning, Hooding Highlights Opportunities

As the speaker to the Class of 2019 DNP graduates last week, Mofmofortawonewah shared her coping strategy: “Grab it (the opportunity) and run with it.”Dr. Newah Mofmofortawonewah admitted being nervous at first. As a graduate of the School of Nursing’s Doctor of Nursing Practice Class of 2017, Mofmofortawonewah had joined a medical oncology practice with two physicians. She was working out of four locations and doing rounds in several hospitals.
