Since 2017, Dr. Sankaranarayana Chandramohan, known as Dr. Chandra, has organized 13 STEM Saturdays, an initiative he started at Palm Beach State College to introduce students (pre-K-12) to STEM subjects through interactive exhibits and activities.

STRIDES ACQUIRES USFDA APPROVED FACILITY IN RIVIERA BEACH
August 28, 2019 – RIVIERA BEACH, FLA – The Business Development Board of Palm Beach County (BDB) is pleased to announce that Strides Pharma, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of soft gelatin capsules (SGC), has acquired Micelle BioPharma located in Riviera Beach. Strides Pharma will occupy the full 90,000 sq. ft. facility and employ 150 people. The company plans to invest over $10 million into the local economy.

ANOTHER WAY DOGS HELP THE MILITARY; AEROMEDICAL PATIENT EVACUATIONS
They’re physically and emotionally wounded – most likely suffering from post-traumatic stress. Members of the United States military who serve abroad often return to the U.S. to treat their injuries and must be transported by aeromedical evacuation between medical facilities. Those who undergo these types of evacuations are in states of both chronic and acute stress.

The United States is the largest importer of seafood products in the world – importing 5.9 billion pounds of seafood in 2017 alone, resulting in about $14 billion of the U.S. trade deficit. More than 50 percent of seafood consumed comes from aquaculture. Yet, less than 1 percent is produced in the U.S. While the U.S. has the capacity to meet domestic demand for seafood by expanding aquaculture in federal waters and land-based recirculating systems, the warm water finfish aquaculture industry is struggling to grow and unable to fill the demand for high quality fish products.
