AWARD-WINNING STRATEGIES BRING INNOVATION TO PALM BEACH COUNTY

The Palm Beach County Medical Society presented the “Innovation in Health Care” award to the BDB to recognize “Heroes in Medicine”. Robert Mino, Vice President of Life Sciences at the BDB, accepted the award at the Annual Heroes in Medicine Awards ceremony, an effort that honors Individuals and organizations that utilize their skills in the field of health care to provide outstanding service to meet the needs of people in local, national and/or global communities.The ceremony included nearly 1,000 medical professionals, business leaders, and other participants to celebrate the Palm Beach County Medical Society’s 100 years of service.  BDB Board of Directors Gary Lesser of Lesser, Lesser, Landy & Smith and Richard Rendina of Rendina Healthcare Real Estate were presenters during the ceremony.

BOCA RATON REGIONAL HOSPITAL AND BAPTIST HEALTH SOUTH FLORIDA SIGN DEFINITIVE AGREEMENT TO FINALIZE AFFILIATION

Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Baptist Health South Florida today announced that they have signed a Definitive Agreement regarding a strategic partnership between the two organizations. This agreement solidifies their plans for affiliation, which is expected to be completed by early summer.

May 22, 2019, BOCA RATON, FLA – The Business Development Board of Palm Beach County (BDB) is pleased to announce that Beacon of Hope CRO, a Clinical Research Organization created specifically to facilitate drug development in expanded access programs through the Right-to-Try (RTT) law, will be a new addition to Boca Raton. The company signed a lease at the Research Park at FAU’s Technology Business Incubator and over the next two years expects to create 10 new jobs as part of a capital investment of $3 million.

U.S. DEPT. OF EDUCATION GIVES FAU LAB SCHOOLS GREEN RIBBON DESIGNATION

The U.S. Department of Education today announced Florida Atlantic University’s A.D. Henderson University School (ADHUS) and FAU High School as a 2019 Green Ribbon School District Sustainability Awardee. The FAU Lab School District was the only one in the state of Florida and one of only 14 districts across the country to receive this coveted distinction. In addition to this distinction, last year ADHUS was named National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education.
