Dr. Laura Vernon has been appointed to the role of Associate Director of the Jupiter Life Science Initiative (JLSI). “Laura’s dedication to undergraduate research and teaching and her research expertise in assessment, interventions, and programming will greatly enhance our mission”, said Dr. Rod Murphey, Director of the JLSI. Dr. Vernon is FAU’s 2018 Distinguished Teacher of the Year and has mentored students in successful grant funding, numerous publications, presentations, and posters. As a Wilkes Honors College faculty member since 2006, Dr. Vernon is looking forward to expanding and enhancing coordination and collaboration between MacArthur campus entities.
