FAU’s Center for Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (CMBB) and Sancilio & Company, a local biotech company founded in 2005, continue to partner in training highly skilled workers in biopharmaceuticals and drug development.
Scientists from Sancilio & Company, Inc. began teaching the graduate level course, “Drug Development and Regulation,” in Fall 2016 on FAU’s Jupiter campus. The success of the partnership has led to the development of a second graduate-level course titled “Drug Discovery and Formulations,” that covers early phases of biopharmaceutical development. Students who participate attend lectures by Sancilio & Company scientists and receive hands-on laboratory experience learning how to prepare and analyze pharmaceutical solutions. Students will have the opportunity to apply for internships and high-paying positions at the company.
