Nurturing a Life Science Ecosystem for Job Creation and Economic Development in Palm Beach County, FL
The Business Development Board’s Life Science Advisory Council (LSAC) serves as the oversight group of leaders responsible for the execution of the 2016 Palm Beach County Life Science Industry Study. Council members are appointed by the Board of Directors of the Business Development Board.
The Business Development Board of Palm Beach County had very robust project activity in the life science and healthcare industries in the fiscal year that ended September 30, 2016. The BDB facilitated the relocation or expansion of five life science companies and two healthcare companies during this period.
Abstract: At the research institutes and the university research facilities, researchers are well experienced and knowledgeable for synthesizing a molecule, determining its activities, toxicity etc. They find its therapeutic value and also know the importance of their research work. But as a basic researcher, we have hard time to put the plans to bring this valuable molecule to reach up to the mankind. We have several options to proceed; to get an IP, sell it to pharmaceutical company, or find investors and set up a lab to get file an application to FDA to get approval for Investigational New Drug (IND) and then file for New Drug Application, (NDA).
