A pharmaceutical company that moved its corporate headquarters to Jupiter a year ago is spending about $4 million to buy and refurbish a U.S. 1 office building for expansion.
“Our slogan is “See it big but keep it simple.” We hope to help millions of patients worldwide,” said Paul Bosse, the president and Chief Executive Officer of Charleston Laboratories Inc., a privately owned company that started in 2007.
Charleston Laboratories, Inc. is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on research and development pain management products to prevent the side effects such as vomiting and nausea related to opioid analgesics and other products.
The company has been renting space in an office building across from the U-Tiki restaurant on A1A in Jupiter.
The 27,000-square-foot building was purchased by CLI Properties llc for about $2.9 million in April, according to Palm Beach County records.
“Jupiter is happy to continue the trend of adding companies to its bioscience community with real commercialization and market opportunities that not only bring additional jobs and economic growth, but also have the potential to make a difference in people’s lives,” said Jupiter Mayor Karen Golonka.
The company received a Qualified Target Industry Tax Refund of $140,000 from Florida and an additional $35,000 in incentives from Jupiter.
